Dealing with flies became a challenging feat for us, we used brooms to kill them yet they kept multiplying, we use insecticides and they won’t even reduce in number until someone gave us a clue; clean the environment and you won’t need brooms and insecticides to chase them away. We have airborne diseases, waterborne diseases and even land borne diseases. The fact is that there are more sexually translated diseases than there are other diseases. Sex is meant to be made with only one partner (spouse) for it to be healthy (see Proverbs 5:15), but when we began to meet several people, diseases are likely to be contacted. Proverbs 5:11 says this about sexual-immorals: ‘and thou mourn at the last, when thy flesh and thy body are consumed’. And everybody started running about, a lady was drawing water from the well, when she heard, she ran around the Well, and finally Jumped into the well. Later the Ebola shout was just a joke but someone is already drowning inside the well. This is a typical example of how fear can destroy us. We panic at the slightest sound of evil, we break our neck even before we were crushed; we die even before death comes. More people have been killed by the name of a problem and not the problem; the name of sicknesses and diseases have taken more people to the grave than the actual disease and sickness, the sound of evil has destroyed more people than the evil itself, the name Ebola killed more Nigerians than the virus Ebola itself. When the sound of evil makes you panic, pray and don’t be anxious. Have no anxiety about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God....
