TOPIC: LIFE WITHOUT CHRIST IS FULL OF
SORROWS
TEXT: Job 14:1 ¶ Man that is
born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.
INTRODUCTION:
Because of the fall of man in Eden and the subsequent usurping of the ruler
ship of this world by the devil, the days of man are now cut short (made few)
instead of it been eternal, life and thought of man is the thought of evil
continually instead of righteous thoughts and the life of man is filled with
many troubles instead of it been a life of everlasting enjoyment. This is the
reason Christ came, to restore the life man lost in Eden and gives Him an even
better one than the lost one.
QUESTIONS/DISCUSSIONS
1. Man’s day was made few but Christ
came to restore it by given him eternal life. (see John 11:25-26, John 3:16 and 1Jn
1:1-2) whoever believes in Christ, His days are no longer few, he
doesn’t die, he lives an everlasting life. Glory!
2. Man’s days were filled with trouble
which can be categorized into 3 parts: (a) sicknesses and diseases: The entire
diseases that came with the fall of man; hard labor in giving bath, painful
menstruation, menopause and other various infirmities are healed in Christ
Jesus (Isaiah 53:5 and Matt. 8:17). In Christ we shouldn’t be having any of
those sicknesses or infirmities because we are the Healed of the Lord.
Hallelujah
(b) Sorrows and griefs: every curse that brings sorrows, demonic
afflictions, disappointments, barrenness, hardship etc. that came to man due to
sin were bore by Christ Jesus (Isaiah 53:4)
© He took our sins: the iniquity of Adam gave us the nature of
sin, thus when the urge of sin besets us, we’ll have no power to resists it but
Christ delivered us from the power and yoke of sin and the bully of the flesh.
(1Pet. 2:24, Heb. 9:28 and Mat. 1:21) in Christ Jesus, sin has no power to hold
us in captivity again. Amen!
CONCLUSION: Jesus Christ came and destroyed all
the works of darkness which are; sin, sorrows and griefs, sicknesses and diseases,
demonic afflicts and hardness and bareness (1Jo 3:8). We shouldn’t allow any of these into our lives as
children of God, lets arise and rebuke every works of darkness out of our lives
in Jesus name. God bless you
