A CHILD DEVELOPS BY SEEING

Image
A little child has the potentials of an adult, but the child will not be able to develop these potentials if he does not see a full grown man living in manifestation of the potentials. A child walks because he sees adults around him walking, a child talks because he sees adults around him talking, a child understands things the way the adults around him understands them, and so it continues. Jesus was able to perform supernatural abilities because of what He saw in the Father. Jesus was not learning about His abilities from earthly men like Joseph his biological father. He looked up to His Heavenly Father to see what He could do, and all that He saw His Heavenly Father do, He began to do, because He proceeded from The Heavenly Father. In the same way, we develop with what we see; therefore, the devil tries to make us look at the wrong things so we do not develop our superman abilities in Christ Jesus. If Jesus had looked at Joseph, He would not have manifested the abilities of...

THE PROBLEM WITH AFRICA 6

Image
‘Going Dutch’ doesn’t work in African dates. A young man had gone out on a date with a girl who invited her friends and told them to eat as much as they could. The young man had to use his ATM to redeem himself that day of the accumulated bills from the extra friends that came with the girl he had had a date with. Men are so afraid to take girls out for dates in Africa because they are afraid the girls would take undue advantages of them and when he dares take a girl out, he’ll devise a means to make her pay back in kind willfully or forcefully. This isn’t unique to the average African girl only; it’s a trait in the African to take undue advantage of people. Whether you are in Johannesburg or Lagos, Accra or Kigali, or DAR El Salaam or Harare, the spirit is the same, the average African wants to take advantage of you. As a prospective son-in-law, your fiancé’s family would want to milk you of life. Some African cultures never let you off the hook once you are married to their dau...

THE MOST DIFFICULT CHILD TO TRAIN

Image
THE MOST DIFFICULT CHILD TO TRAIN *And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.  Eph. 6:4* The provoked child is that child who doesn’t understand what is going on between his parents; they aren’t husband and wife, what they are is just confusing to him and this confusion provokes him to anger… The child that sees his father love another woman other than his mother and vice versa for whatsoever reason provokes the child… The child his parents don’t have time for because they are too busy pursuing their careers and chasing after money; they left him in the hands of careers is a provoked child…  When a child is wrath in his heart, he can’t be nurtured because prolonged provocations leads to bitterness and bitter people are the habitations of evil spirits. When kids are possessed of evil spirit, they tend to behave irrationally and exhibit evil tendencies. Some of them become harlots, drug-add...

OUR CHILDREN BECOME US

OUR CHILDREN BECOME US In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah did Zachariah the son of Jeroboam reign over Israel in Samaria six months.  And he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as his fathers had done: he departed not from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin.  2kings 15:8-9 If you are not who you want your child to be, you have to repent today; Children don’t do as we say, they do as we do and did This is how patterns are created in families; if you are an unfaithful spouse, your kids would turn out to be unfaithful to their spouses. If you are divorced, your children tend to marry and get divorced; if you are immoral or alcoholic or over angered person etc. your children tend to carry on same trait. Your child is either the better version of the good person you are or the worse version of the bad person you are. If you do evil and hide if from your kids, they too would be doing greater evil and be hiding it...

MISPLACED PRIORITY

We give our children food and we spend money for their education; we check on their health and ensure they do well in school but we don’t give them God; we don’t teach them Christ or ensure they faithfully attend church services just as we ensure they are healthy and well educated. We don’t care if they know how to pray, or have time for God’s word, but we’ll make sure they read their school books and do their school homework before going to bed. We don’t care if they have bibles but we ensure they get all the latest toys in this world. We don’t care if they know how to fast and exercise faith in God, but we make certain they are involved in sports or other body recreational activities. When we raise the kids outside God, we prepare them for the devil’s use; they grow up to be hardened to their conscience and God’s word, they lost morality and lack the fear of God. They used the education you gave them to work for the devil unto their own destruction. They end up as drug-add...

LETTER TO SINGLE PARENTS

Being a single parent may be so challenging for most people because it usually comes too early; to early because it either came before they achieved their careers or before they get properly married. To some is because they lost their spouse or their spouse forsook them to parent the kids alone. Most single parents are suffering because they are facing a challenge they were never prepared for; either because they were not excepting to pickup pregnancy or they never expected their partner to forsake them to face the parenting alone. That you got involved in premarital sex is a sin but that you didn’t abort and had the child is one of the greatest things you’ve done right in life. Though God disapproves premarital sex, He doesn’t disapprove a child gotten under the cloud of premarital sex because everychild is a gift from the Lord and He knows them by their names. Though there is a condemnation for every child gotten outside marriage but for the love of God there is also r...

HOW DO I TRAIN THEM?

One woman asked me after listening to all the much a mother has to do to be able to train her kids and said ‘it’s a damn long dos and don’t, sincerely, I can’t observe all that’. And I said, you don’t need to observe all that too, God didn’t call us to observe all the laws but just to love Him and our neighbours like Christ loves them. Then I asked, can you love God and your neighbours like Christ loves them? And she said yes, and then I said, that’s all you need to do to be able to train your kids; Loving God and loving your neighbours like Christ does How to be a good parent is not trying to keep proving to your kids how perfect you are as a parent, when you try to show your kids you are a perfect parent by providing everything they need (materials and emotional) they would spend the rest of their lives trying to find your parental flaws. The best way to train your kids is to show them your love for God and you how much you love your neighbours too. Let your kids know you ...

BLOOD DOESN'T BIND DISTANT PEOPLE TOGETHER

What makes us relatives is not blood but time spent together, yes, those moments of joy and sorrow when we stick together. One day a mother complained to me that his son doesn’t treat her like her mum and after finding out that she doesn’t spend quality time with her son I said to her ‘sorry ma, please explain what makes you his mother’ and she said, what kind of question is that, I gave birth to him, I replied, blood doesn’t makes us parents but the time we spend with our kids that do. You are not the father to the child you don’t spend time with, nor the mother to the baby you only see while he is asleep at night and before he wakes you are off to work. Paying your child’s bills doesn’t make you a responsible parent but fellowshipping with your child do. Your brother is that one that always step out for you in moments of joy and sorrow, your father is that man that despite his work will listen to you to understand you and play with you. Proverbs 27:10 says...for bett...
