They were told that the only way they can save the life of their only child was that if the buy a particular drug which will cost a fortune. They couldn’t afford the money so they have to sell all their landed properties and important gadgets to raise the funds. They went and bought the drugs only for their child to refuse to drink it. When you gave your life to Christ, you partook of the life of God and this life becomes the light that dispels the darkness in your life. The devil and all his cohort is represented with the word ‘darkness’ therefore anyone who has the life of God in him has the light that cant be overcome by darkness (all the powers of darkness put together). You may have heard news of terrible occurrences, perhaps strange mishaps befallen certain people, don’t be afraid if you have the life of God in you because that life is the light that makes it impossible for anything evil to overcome you.
