the workings of Grace

Image
THE WORKING OF GRACE Grace is free but not cheap, those who had been ‘en-graced’ weren’t idle with their lives; they didn’t just have results in multiples. Though they got it free but with wasn’t cheap. Grace enables you to live by God’s word and thus get results according to God’s word and not according to the efforts you put but that which Christ has put for you. For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.  Rom. 8:18 You are hungry but you have to seed then grace will multiple your harvest in such away you can compare with the seed sown. You are seeking first the kingdom of God, assisting with the evangelism when there is barely what to eat in your kitchen then grace will give you access into so much of God’s blessings that you won’t be able to compare the sacrifices you’ve made while putting God first. This is Grace, a boy gave Christ His 5 loaves and 2 fishes then God gave h...

SHOULD WE STILL PAY TITHE

Image
SHOULD WE STILL PAY TITHE? This question have repeatedly come to me; well, I responded, do we still need to be delivered from devourers that devours our wealth like diseases, court cases, accidents and problems etc (Mal. 3: 10-11)? If you want God to open the windows of heaven continually for you, you must pay tithe. Tithe is never yours to keep or debate whether to pay or not. Many of you haven’t paid tithe since this year and you are busy asking if it’s in the New Testament. In the New Testament, they gave their all oh; you forget the story of Ananias and Sapphira (Acts 5)? They didn’t bring their all after pledging to and God took their lives. So if you want to give according to how the saints gave in the New Testament believing they didn’t tithe, get ready! They even sold their lands to fund the ministry and submitted all their properties, I know now you’ll prefer giving one tenth than giving you all in accordance to the New Testament saints. The Apostles wouldn’t mention one ...

ITS IN HELPING THAT WE ARE HELPED

Image
You have a million dollar project yet done, let that not stop you from helping those with a thousand dollar project get theirs done… Your dream has found no interpretations, let it not hinder you from interpreting the dreams of others if you can… You’ve not being able to pay for your child’s school fees, let it not stop you from paying for someone’s meal that is starving if you can… You have lots of cases yet attended too by God, let it not stop you from interceding to God on-behalf of others… Don’t because you have a bigger problem not assist others in solving their smaller problems… Its in helping that we are helped; when we allow an outflow of what we have that’s when we will receive an inflow of what we’ve been believing God for Have you being praying for a miracle? Be someone’s miracle today. *The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.  Prov. 11:25* Life is not all about your needs but about your usefulness in th...

TIME TO PLUCK THAT WHICH IS PLANTED

*TIME TO PLUCK THAT WHICH IS PLANTED* *To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:  … A time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted. Eccles 3:1-2* He is a thief who covets to harvest where he hasn’t planted; she is a robber who desires to reap where she hasn’t sow Before there will be a season of harvest, there must be the season of planting and kingdom investments. As believers, we must not leave our lives to chances just like the farmer wouldn’t leave his field and seat at home and during harvest, goes to harvest. When a farmer doesn’t sow on a fertile land and tend to his plantings, thorns and thistles would be his lots likewise that believer who has hardened his heart from sowing Seed yields to their kinds, sow financial seed if you desire financial harvest. The unbeliever, who gathers without sowing in the kingdom, is gathering for the saint who sows in God’s kingdom. The riches of the gentiles would be turned over to the sai...

WHEN YOU SEED IN ZION, YOU HARVEST MIRACLES

WHEN YOU SEED IN ZION, YOU HARVEST MIRACLES One of my readers shared this with me, ‘my daughter wanted me to seed but I kept telling her I don’t have but she insisted and took my wallet, opened it and asked me to out of the monies on the wallet that I should seed this pointing to some amount, I acquiesced and seeded that amount, few days later I was involved in an accident, witnesses said, I died but God brought me back to life and healed me totally. I remembered that seed my daughter made me sow and I said to myself, it’s because of this God brought me back to life’ Mary the brother of Lazarus also sowed seed; she bought the costliest oils for Christ though many even the apostle of Jesus (sometimes its pastors that discourages people from seed sowing because you aren’t sowing to them) had advised her to use the money for the poor instead of Christ. After she poured the oil on Christ, her brother died and was buried for four days and Christ came and brought him back to life becau...

they sow not, neither did they reap

*THE SOW NOT, NEITHER DID THEY REAP* This truth was revealed by Christ in Matthew 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns… When we don’t sow, we won’t reap and won’t have enough to save. Abundance and harvest belongs to those who understood and participated in the act of seed sowing. While the idea may easily be ridiculed and misunderstood, the truth of it is, as long as you don’t sow, you’ll spend the rest of your life managing for daily bread.  * Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.  Gal. 6:7* God attends to us in accordance to our seeds. Those who complain and don’t sow, won’t reap no matter how much they cry Whatsoever you sow and with the measure at which you sow, it will determine what you’ll reap and how much you’ll reap whether you are a pastor or laity. God is not deceived by tears and cries, if you want results, sow seeds. *Give, and it s...

FIRST FRUIT OFFERING

*FIRST FRUIT OFFERING* The reason Christians will enjoy all things is keyed in seeking first the kingdom of God. When we seek God first and the spreading of His message, every other things become added (Matt. 6:33) The reason we shall live about financial struggles this year is when we put God first especially in our finances. *Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the firstfruits of all thine increase:  So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy presses shall burst out with new wine.  Prov. 3:9-10* Giving your first fruit is the means of ensuring that your barns will be filled with plenty and your presses burst out with new wine. If you want to enjoy God’s blessings then your first income, wages, salary, stipend and harvest this year etc. should be given to God But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.  James 1:22 If we want to trust God over our finances this year, let’s do His word; Believe is an action ...

FIRST FRUIT OFFERINGS

Image
FIRST FRUIT OFFERINGS Every time a believer gets a new job and in every beginning of the labour year, every Christians needs to give his or first fruit offerings. Many have hardened their hearts against doing this because they feared how they’ll fare during the one month interval when they will be without their salary. They forget to ask themselves, what if they didn’t get the job or they weren’t paid or robbers stole it from them etc. this testimony was share by the man who paid his first fruit. When I was jobless, I prayed to God for a job over a long period of time and he provided me with a job in Porthacourt Nigeria. This distance from my home to my new workplace was a bit far, I have a wife and kids to care for and all these the devil brought to my mind after I received my first salary. After battling with my mind for a long time, I decided on doing the word of God irrespective of circumstances. So I brought my first fruit to the pastor, the new day I borrowed money to ...

if you cant give God all

IF YOU CAN’T GIVE GOD ALL He told me he is a Christian and wants to serve God with me full time, I replied, I don’t think you are ready to and he asked why? I looked at him and said, knowing you are a family man with responsibilities; can you give God your entire wealth even now? He was silent and I said, anytime you can sincerely answer that question to yourself, that’s when you’ve truly surrendered your life to Christ enough to desire full time service. You must trust God’s word strong enough to be able to cast all that you are for that entire He’ll make of you. Peter left all His fish (wealth) and even His boat(means of getting wealth), though he had a family to cater for to follow Christ who had called him and it was when he left all that God could make Him a fishers of men. Those who can’t surrender all that they have and all who they are to follow Christ won’t be all that He intends for them. If you can’t forsake all the gains you’ve made in this world for the sake o...

the principles of fatness

THE PRINCIPLE OF FATNESS The world is in poverty today because she lives by the principle of savings and not giving. Its human sense to accumulate wealth by savings, but is it scriptural sense? What did the bible teach about getting fat and becoming rich in life? Prov. 11:25 ¶ The generous soul will be made rich, And he who waters will also be watered himself. God teaches that we’ll become rich by giving; we’ll get watered with blessings by watering others. When our heart is hardened or economical in the how we give, our receiving would suffer same faith. Lu 6:38 Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again. No matter how much we’ve prayed and believed God for financial blessings, it’s until we give that the door of recieval would be opened unto us.   The child of God who doesn’t...

RIGHT GIVING

Sunday 31 st Jan. 2016 TOPIC: RIGHT GIVING TEXT: Gen. 4:4 and Abel brought of the firstlings of his flock and of their fat portions. And the LORD had regard for Abel and his offering, INTRODUCTION It’s not what we give that earns divine respect and commands God’s blessings on us; it’s how our gifts affected us. Cain gave but Abel gave a fat portion. Abel didn’t keep the fat portion for himself; he rather gave God the better of what he has. What do you give to God? Does your gift have any effect on you? Whatsoever you gave to God that didn’t cause you pain won’t give you gains. QUESTIONS/DISCUSSIONS 1.     Is God interested in what we give? Yes, He does (see Luke 21:1-4.) Christ was observing what people were putting into the offering box, yes; God observes what we give when we give. 2.     What makes our gift earn divine commendations ? Luke 21:4 revealed that God commends us when we give from our scarcity and lack and not from our plen...

she never lacked ever after

SHE NEVER LACKED EVER AFTER (see 1 King 17:15-17) If you want to experience unending financial prosperity, take on you the financial responsibility God has placed on you. Don’t tell God you can’t because you don’t have, truly it is because you don’t have that’s why God beckoned on you to take up His financial obligation apportioned to you. God don’t use the rich, He uses the poor, He doesn’t use the wise, He uses the foolish, He doesn’t use the privileged and high classed individuals, He uses the less privileged and under classed people and He doesn’t use the strong, He uses the weak so that none can boast before Him (1Co 1:27) God gave a woman who has lost her husband to death, a single mom living in a land where there was famine because it wasn’t raining, with no thriving business and a son to feed with just their last meal a responsibility to cater for Elijah for 3 years plus. It’s that not too much for her? Doesn’t God have compassion on her predicament? Making such a huge...

WHEN SEES GIVES NO RESULT

Image
WHEN SEEDS GIVES NO RESULT Someone was asking and telling me that he has been sowing seed and yet no result and I replied, there is also someone who gave his first fruit seed offering without result in the bible, when we give like him we won’t get the result we so much desire. That person was Cain, he gave to God an ordinary gift but his brother’s gift has this record ’that Abel gave a fat portion’. Gen. 4:3-4 Seeds that yield great miracles are seeds that ‘…And the LORD had respect unto…’Gen 4:4 God only has respect for your offering when your offering causes you pain, like the widow gave her last meal, for herself and her son, imagine the pain of giving the only thing that would had made you and your son live longer to another man because he is a man of God (see 1 King 17:15-17). Another’s widow’s offering caused Christ’s respect in Luke 21:1-4. People don’t know that God observes what you give when you give. If the seed offering cause you no pain, it would grant you...

WHAT SHOULD A CHRISTIAN DO IN THE MIDST OF SCARCITY

Image
WHAT SHOULD A CHRISTIAN DO IN THE MIDST OF SCARCITY TAG: Every Christians in nations where there are famine, lack of jobs and harsh economy conditions In the light of the recent financial crisis in various nations of the world, especially in Africa, the question arouses, what should a child of God do in the midst of these scarcities? 1Cor. 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your strength, but with the temptation will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. There are no trials we’ll have now that we’ve not had before; the saints of old also faced economic crisis and famine, what did they do and how did God provided a way out for them? Ge 26:12 ¶ Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the LORD blessed him. Isaac sowed during the famine and miraculously reaped an hundredfold in the same year; his farm was connected to God’s...

your gift the trigger2

Image
YOUR GIFT THE TRIGGER2 So he arose and went to Zarephath; and when he came to the gate of the city, behold, a widow was there gathering sticks; and he called to her and said, "Bring me a little water in a vessel, that I may drink." And as she was going to bring it, he called to her and said, "Bring me a morsel of bread in your hand." And she said, "As the LORD your God lives, I have nothing baked, only a handful of meal in a jar, and a little oil in a cruse; and now, I am gathering a couple of sticks, that I may go in and prepare it for myself and my son, that we may eat it, and die." And Elijah said to her, "Fear not; go and do as you have said; but first make me a little cake of it and bring it to me, and afterward make for yourself and your son. For thus says the LORD the God of Israel, 'The jar of meal shall not be spent, and the cruse of oil shall not fail, until the day that the LORD sends rain upon the earth.'" 1Kings 17:10-14...

your gift the trigger

Image
YOUR GIFT THE TRIGGER In one of the local ways of processing red oil (palm oil), you’ll apply oil into the oil dirt to be able to extract the remaining oil from the oil dirt. Therefore if you want oil extracted properly, be ready to pour the oil you have already as a sacrifice for the one which you want extracted. Though it might look like you are losing oil, you’ll certainly gain back that which you lost in the bid to get more with more. Those stingy oil millers who refuse to pour the oil they have to be able to harvest more oil would continue to miss out in getting more oil from their palm fruit. Lu 6:38 give, and it will be given to you; good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For the measure you give will be the measure you get back." If you are praying for a good measure of financial blessings, a good paying job, and an overflow if finance wealth, you must learn to give. Your gift trigger God’s financial blessings not...

first fruit

Image
FIRST FRUIT OFFERING Giving God the first fruit of your harvest is a law of the spirit; the law of increase. It dated before the written laws. Cain and Abel gave God the first of their increase (see Gen. 4). God regarded that of Abel more perhaps because it was a fat portion (Gen. 4:4). Honor the LORD with your substance and with the first fruits of all your produce; then your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will be bursting with wine. (RSV). Prov. 3:9-10 God breathes into our barns (store room) and vats (jobs) to cause increase when we first honor Him with the fat portion of our first fruit. The bible says our job would produce more profits and our accounts would grow fat only if we’ll observe this principle. This is how it should be done: ‘you shall take some of the first of all the fruit of the ground, which you harvest from your land that the LORD your God gives you, and you shall put it in a basket, and you shall go to the place which the LORD your G...
