RESTING YOUR ENTIRE WEIGHT A man serving as a missionary in a strange land was trying to translate the bible in the language of those people, he found it difficult to translate the word ‘trust’ until one day, when a visitor came to see him at his office, when he showed him the seat, he quickly relaxed without checking if the seats was good or not. On seeing this, the missionary defined trust in God as ‘resting all your weight’ in God without thinking. When you don’t trust, you check and analyze and think and calculate before you commit but when you trust, you commit without thinking. Pr 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight Not until you’ve stopped checking and analyzing if God would truly respond to His word, you’ve not trusted.
