THE BIBLE --------------- --------------- ----------- All scriptures is given by inspiration if God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness.2 Timothy 3:16.  The Hindu writings of the Rig-Veda (a collection of Hymns), The Buddhist ‘Cannon of Three Baskets’. If they are Divinely inspired as some sects assert, then they would had point man to Christ Jesus The only way, only truth and life, but in contrary, they point men to either men or exposes him to a false god and pseudo worship. The only book that revealed the only true God to man is the Bible. It connects the finite man with the infinite God. It is in two major parts; the Old Testament and the New Testament. It consist of sixty six books; 39 of

THE PROBLEM WITH AFRICA 2

Image
An African was told to ask for whatsoever he wants, mind you, whatsoever you ask for we’ll give double to your brother he was told. He thought of asking for an house, the thought of his brother having two houses wasn’t good for him, he thought of having a million in his account, the thought of his brother having two million haunted him. He sat down and brain-stormed, ‘what would I have ‘one’ and when my brother has it double he won’t be better than I am?’ He asked himself and then he thought of having one of his eyes removed so that his brother might have his two eyes gouged. This is the typical African mentality that has set Africans backward for ages and made witchcrafts to thrive in Africa. An African wants to be better than his brother at all cost. The African man is only careful to share his beer not his books, to spread his diseases and not the cures, to transfer his problem and not his solutions. When an African man fails, he wishes his brother same fate so that he won’t be

THE PROBLEM WITH AFRICA

THE PROBLEM WITH AFRICA Promise Ikpe A man that was living abroad was sending money to his brother-in-law to build him a befitting house; the brother-in-law was to design the house, chose the quality of materials and executes the building-plan. He built a poor house with pitiable materials and when his brother-in-law who was sending him the money returned from abroad, he brought out the keys of the building to give to him but that one said, “I’ve been wanting to build you a house, you can keep it” and instead of rejoicing, he wept because that which he thought he was doing for another turned out to be what he was doing for himself. In Africa we go to school to get knowledge and because we think we are studying for the examination body, we find a way to go around the exams and get the certificate. When the government we are studying to work for wouldn’t provide jobs for us, we are left with the reality of what we’ve done to ourselves; the certificate we expect to make us get j

PLEASE BE REAL MY FRIEND

I don't expect your face to be without pimples or wrinkles; don't try to impress me with a flawless face. I don't expect you to speak from your nose when talking to me; I know how your village people sound I don't expect your spellings to always be correct as long as I know what you wanted to spell: I've seen your notebooks I don't expect your grammar to always be correct as long as I understood you; I'm not an exam body. If you drank *garri* or ate *matemba* don't tell me you ate chicken and lion meat, as long as your belly is full I don't care what you filled it with. Don't lie about your parents, they mustn't be perfect, mine aren't Your father could be a drunkard or your mother a flirt, don't paint the picture of a saint to me because my parents aren't better and I might bump into your parents soon. If you don't have it, don't borrow and intimate me with if. If you borrowed it, don't pretend it's your

HE DIDN'T TELL ME IT WAS LEAKING

we use to go fetch water in turns, all the boys sharing room with me. One of the boys did something that made me bitter for years before God took away that bitterness from me. I was dressed for class with my school uniform. It was my turn to fetch water, I took the gallon and was about to rush to the Bore-Hole when Ananti my roommate told me sounding un-serious that the gallon was leaking and it would wet my uniform. I ignored him because I thought he wasn't serious. While returning from the borehole with the gallon on my head, I discovered that the gallon was truly leaking and there was nothing I could do, I was wet already. I had no other uniform and I was mad and bitter against Ananti because he didn't warn me seriously. When I confronted him, he said _'but I told you'_. And I responded, you did not sounded serious and I was hurt. Many people would goto hell not because we didn't warn them, but because we didn't sounded serious. We did nothing extra to war

ARE YOU HAVING ANGER ISSUES?

*Anger Issues?* When you are still a babe in Christ you'll struggle with overcoming anger. When you get upset it will take long before you could get over it. You find yourself swearing that you'll never forgive or let go. Even if you want to, you'll demand apologies and want to attach conditions etc. *_Who is a God like you, who pardons sin and forgives the transgression of the remnant of his inheritance? You do not stay angry forever but delight to show mercy. Micah 7:18_* Being a mature Christian means not being able to stay angry for long. Even if you want to get upset, you just can't because you delight in mercy and you are excited to forgive again and again and again. Are you having anger issues? You need to consciously seek the manifestation of the fruitage of the Holy Spirit; temperament God bless you Pastor Promise Ikpe Share the word To be getting these message on WhatsApp add +2348025968171
