dealing with losses
DEALING WITH LOSSES
If
you’ve never lost anything important to you in life, then it’s a matter of
time.
The lost of fiancé, husband or wife, job,
wealth, health, honor, child and position etc. can be very devastating. It had
led many into despair because they were never able to adjust to their losses
Someone
asked me some time ago, why do God allow a Christian to suffer losses? I looked
as the person and replied, is so that that Christian might learn that his true
identity is not how the world sees him but his identity in Christ, is not his
properties but his faith.
And
he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna, which
thou knewest not, neither did thy fathers know; that he might make thee know
that man doth not live by bread only, but by every word that proceedeth out of
the mouth of the LORD doth man live. Deut. 8:3
God
caused the Jews to suffer lack so that He might teach them that man shall not
live by bread alone but by every promises of God over that man. You suffer
losses because God wants you to learn the real source of your life and destiny;
He wants you to know that your destiny is in the word
God
wants us to depend on His promises during the time of losses and lack in our
lives
Instead
of allowing despair take over your life, you must lean on God’s word over your
life. Keep declaring His promises; God want you to know that you can enjoy your
life by talking His promises; you can live above the lack of all things by
meditating in His word.
What
are you doing during your time of loss? Are you murmuring which leads to
despair or talking God’s word which is able to alleviate you above such loss?
Job
was blessed with double of all he lost because he never lost his faith when he
lost his wife, children, wealth, health and friends, yes if you don’t lose your
faith in God’s promises, everything you’ve lost would be restored back to you
in multiple fold.
God
bless you
