Is Africa cursed?
had promised you earlier to share with you whether Africa is under any spiritual curse
Why we are set back this much from the rest of the world.
And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan. These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread. And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father's nakedness. And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. Gen. 9:18-27
Ham the second of Noah’s children who has a son called Canaan first saw his father’s nakedness and instead of covering it up, he went and called his brethren to see.
This character is dominant in the average African; an African would rather broadcast (murmur, complain and worry) his problems instead of thinking of ways to proffer solutions. The average African doesn’t want to think, even believers in our Lord Jesus.
When an African becomes friends with a richer person or a friend in the Europe, his first tendencies is to tell that rich friend how he has been suffering and how the economic has been bad on him instead of thinking of ways he’ll handle and solve his problems.
What Ham did brought curse upon Canaan his son and there some school of thought that Canaan dwelt in Africa.
Is Africa still under this curse? Put yourself to test, besides what you see in Africa, and in yourself do you think we are still under that curse?
Do you always beg every person you think is rich for money?
Do you add foreigners and tell them how poor Africa is, and he/she should help you with money or help you flee Africa?
That was the problem with Ham that brought curse upon his son Canaan, if that’s your problem, it will bring curse upon your children (the Next generation of Africans). We must break the trend in this generation, we must learn to confront our problem and overcome them and not laugh and talk about them to everyone.
Jesus brought redemption from curse, and deliverance from the powers of darkness (Col. 1:13). Just as it might be said that Africa was curse by Noah, it can also be said that Africa is blessed by Christ. It all depends on where you want to align yourself; either to the blessing (brought by Christ) or the curse (laid by Noah). To align yourself to the blessing you have to renew your mind from the eye blinding culture we’ve inherited and learn to confront our problems ourselves through information and the power of a renewed mind.
Many years ago, God told me to separate myself from the curse on Africans, and I did consciously. Being in this group ‘Rebrand Africa’, I think it’s what we need to do too.
To walk in the newness of life that Christ brought, we must consciously reject the curse and constantly renew our minds and share this message to other Africans.
People laugh at Christians in Africa and blame their devotions to God as the reason but the truth is, even Christians have refused to let go of their traditional ways of doing things in Africa which has set Africans back. We need to update as Africans and take the lead.
We must renew our minds. I’ll be helping you through this group and be sharing ‘Problems with Africa’ and we’ll find ways to share them.
God bless Africa
God bless you

I’ll show the spiritual provisions for Africa to take the lead later.
