WHY THE CHOICE OF TOPIC ‘THE PROBLEM WITH AFRICA’
What is the problem? The doctor asked; describe the symptoms you are feeling? He took his diary to inscribe on it as she tells him about the symptoms she was experiencing. After listening to her attentively, he used his stethoscope on her and directed her to the lab to talk to the lab scientist and for lab tests. When the lab result came out, she took it to the doctor who examined the result keenly before knowing what exactly to do about her health failure. The money she had spent on the test was far more than the one she finally spent on the drugs the doctor would prescribe for her after seeing the result.
When we highlight the problem with Africa, it’s by no means trying to demean Africans but to identify what our problem is then suggest active steps we can play in curbing these problems so that Africa would become the envy of the nations and the general understand of Africans worldwide would become rebranded for the better.
Every nation that got better than they were, had just one person take the right step and instead of others to sit down and deride him, they stood up and joined, the revolution that one man started became the revolution that the nation started and then the change they needed started with that one man to the nation.
The change we needed in Africa starts with you, it starts with me. Don’t just sit down and read about this.
An average African has lost faith in the nation of Africa, and yet he expects non Africans to respect Africa and Africans. The land of Africa has become a place where only the fittest survives.
But we can do something today, at least something to make Africa better for our children and their children.
The more we do nothing, the worse Africans would become and the more racism will increase.
Other nations doesn’t want us, no matter how much we try to hide the color of our skin, they still don’t want us. They think of us as monkeys. Racism will never cease, they’ve taught their kids to abhor blacks.
I once had a business partnership with an English woman, who pretended to be liberal and tend to be speaking against racism. But immediately we had misunderstanding, she used a racist word on me, calling me ‘Black Scallywag’. Even Obama suffered racism as the president of the US
If we want racism to cease, we must get better collectively, because we have the potential to be better. Blacks have to take the lead in science, in arts, in medicine, in politics, in business and in sports etc.
Not until we take the lead, racism against the blacks won’t cease. By Fleeing out of Africa and you may think you’ve fled from your problem. Then you go and live with them then you’ll be made to endure insult for the rest of your life because of your skin color. And whoever accepts you would want to be praise for accepting a black because he thinks something is wrong with the black.
But you can take a stand today, so that by tomorrow, being black would be the proudest thing anyone can ever be
You can be part of rebrand Africa.
Rome wasn’t built in a day, but it all started in a day, let’s start today, united we can build the African nation that’ll be the envy of the world.
God bless you
