Elisha had Elijah
Moses had Jethro
David had Saul
Solomon had David
And every great man in the scripture had a mentor
If you want to be successful in life or ministry, find a life-coach and stick to that person.
God sent John to prepare the way of Christ, yes, that’s what a mentor does; they prepare the way for us. If you have a direction in life, you must have a director, if you have a mission to fulfill in life, you must have an instructor. If you have a way, you must follow; you must have someone to prepare such way for you.
No matter how connected you are to God, note these:
There are things God wouldn’t tell you except via the mouth of your mentor: it means you’ll never learn such things if you have no mentor
There are places God will never take you to unless by the agency of a mentor: if you got no mentor you’ll never get there
There ways God won’t make for you except via a mentor; if you got no mentor you’ll never have such open doors.
Not everyone needs a mentor; mentorship is only for him who has a goal and mission to accomplish in life. If your life has no purpose, you need no mentorship.
Do you want to be great in life? Do you want to discover and accomplish your purpose in life? Find a mentor and discipline yourself in listening to that mentor

THE STRUGGLE FOR WHOM TO BELIEVE

After a program back in Nigeria early last year, a woman met me by the car and wants me pray for her conception, since she had a first son, having another has been difficult. As I was about to pray for her, I told her she is now pregnant by the word of God (Ex 23:26). Someone said because of the suffering he was passing through that God has ordained it therefore he is going to accept the financial barrenness as part of God’s plan for him.
