My work in the home as a kid was to sweep the compound and weed the backyard whenever there are weeds. I don’t need anyone to remind me. My immediate younger sister does all the cooking in the house, she wakes every morning and cook without been reminded, my elder sister does the shopping and sometimes cook with it’s a special circumstance. When our parents want to give us money for anything, they don’t give to us base on the efficiency of our work in the home. We don’t work for dad and mum to be able to earn food and money, we work because it’s our responsibility in the home and they give us not because of our work in the home but because its their responsibility to us e.i they are our source. Likewise, God gives to us not because of the kind of work we do, not whether we are education professionals or skilled professionals etc. God doesn’t need our work to provide for us, we only work because we were created for good work (to engage in good work). RESTING YOUR ENTIRE WEIGHT A man serving as a missionary in a strange land was trying to translate the bible in the language of those people, he found it difficult to translate the word ‘trust’ until one day, when a visitor came to see him at his office, when he showed him the seat, he quickly relaxed without checking if the seats was good or not. On seeing this, the missionary defined trust in God as ‘resting all your weight’ in God without thinking. When you don’t trust, you check and analyze and think and calculate before you commit but when you trust, you commit without thinking. Pr 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight Not until you’ve stopped checking and analyzing if God would truly respond to His word, you’ve not trusted. MMM and the Christian Zacheus was profiting in the systematic robbery of the masses by the government of his days and when he met with Christ, he had to refund in multiple folds those whom he has defrauded. The presence of Christ in one’s life should make such person flee from robbing people through any means. It recently appeared on news with pictures of several people weeping for their losses after investing in MMM; their losses were other peoples’ gain and profit.
