My work in the home as a kid was to sweep the compound and weed the backyard whenever there are weeds. I don’t need anyone to remind me. My immediate younger sister does all the cooking in the house, she wakes every morning and cook without been reminded, my elder sister does the shopping and sometimes cook with it’s a special circumstance. When our parents want to give us money for anything, they don’t give to us base on the efficiency of our work in the home. We don’t work for dad and mum to be able to earn food and money, we work because it’s our responsibility in the home and they give us not because of our work in the home but because its their responsibility to us e.i they are our source. Likewise, God gives to us not because of the kind of work we do, not whether we are education professionals or skilled professionals etc. God doesn’t need our work to provide for us, we only work because we were created for good work (to engage in good work). LICKING UNRIPE MANGOES

As a child growing in the barracks, I get so familiar with the drug Genocine, I got familiar with it because before the full blown of every mango season, I would suffer stomach ache which genocine was the cure. I suffer this stomach ache because of my impatience; I won’t allow the mangoes to ripe before I start eating them. I would eat unripe mangoes and suffer stomach ache. The funny thing was that after I’ve suffered from previous unripe mangoes experience, I wouldn’t be able to wait; I would still go for more unripe mangoes and still suffer and suffer. Unripe mangoes aren’t sweet and convenient with the mouth and yet I felt bounded to it and kept suffering stomach aches.
