AFFLICTION SHALL NOT COME AGAIN

I visited a friend and we were to take a commercial bus back from where we went to, we were lucky to meet the front seat of this vehicle empty because we can comfortable sit and keep discussing till we get to our destination but my friend wouldn’t want to sit in this front seat, why I queried? My friend reluctantly told me how he survived a ghastly accident while he was in the front of a vehicle some time ago and his neighbor in the front seat died and blood spilled on him. Ever then sitting in the front seat makes him feel terribly afraid as the fear that incidence will happen again.
Most of us like my friend have allowed a terribly past limit a bright future for us as the fear of what happened in the past still haunts us. The devil sees this past as a good chain of bondage in limiting the unsuspecting saint from enjoying his now and future.
Some people have refused to retake certain exams because they once failed such exam woefully or they heard that someone they considered better than them academically did fail that exam woefully.
That it happened yesterday doesn’t mean it will happen again….Nahum 1:9 says ….affliction shall not rise up the second time.
Yes, that terribly thing that happened before wouldn’t happen again. That you were afflicted before, failed before, had accident before, couldn’t succeed before etc. doesn’t mean they will happen again. Remember you’ve grown wiser, stronger, experienced etc. with those past failures and your faith has increased than it was when you failed before and most importantly the bible says that affliction shall not rise up the second time. So stretch yourself and do that you fear you can’t do because you failed in it before. Remember you can do all things never believe otherwise.
The voice of fear is the voice of the devil; never let fear hinder your progress in life.
God bless you.
