YOUR DESTINY IS REVEALED IN THE SCRIPTURE
THE MINISTERS CHAPEL INTERNATIONAL
SUNDAY SCHOOL LESSON
THEME: YOUR DESTINY IS REVEALED IN
THE SCRIPTURE
TEXT: Then said I, Lo, I come:
in the volume of the book it is written of me. ps 40:7
INTRODUCTION: Jesus first discovered Himself in the scripture before He could pursue
His destiny in real life. God has written about every believer in the pages of
the scripture; the conducts of the believer, the identity of the believer and
the future of the believer both his immediate future and eternal future.
QUESTIONS AND DISCUSSIONS
1. HOW DO WE KNOW THAT OUR DESTINY IS REVEALED IN THE SCRIPTURE: we know because when we became born
again, we are born not according to the flesh or the will of man but the will
of God and the will of God is written in the scriptures (John 1:13)
2. YOUR DESTINY IS GOD’S INFALLIBLE WORD MADE FLESH: You are the fulfillment of all that
the scriptures prophesied and described just like Christ fulfilled all of the
old testament prophecies likewise your are the fulfillment of all of the bible
promises and prophecies. (John 1:14)
3. CAN I KNOW THE OUTCOME OF MY LIFE?: Many people throng to false prophets and mediums to
discover their life and destinies and whether any particular venture will yield
or not like King Saul did (1Sam 28:7). Can we know the outcome of our lives as
Christians without divinations and visiting such places, the answer is yes.
When you meditate on God’s word over your life, you’ll discover what God has to
say about your businesses, marriage, battles, health and ministries etc. but it’s
up to you to fulfill its conditions and to make it your reality.
4. WHAT ARE THE CONDITIONS OF LIVING OUT GOD’S WORD: to make it to heaven you must be
born again (John 3:3), to become great financially your must be a giver (Prov.
11:25), to get positive result over a particular situation you must learn to
pray (matt. 7:7-8) and you must know your life didn’t come by chance (Jer.
29:11) etc. the scriptures have told us how to know what events are set to take
place in our lives.
CONCLUSION: Discover God’s descriptions of you,
how He sees you, what He has done for you and what He promises to do through
you and live it out; fulfill your part, and trust God’s sovereign power to work
out His part. If none of God’s promises over the life of Christ on earth didn’t
fail, none would fail in your life for as Christ is so are we on earth and as
His destiny was revealed through the scripture so are how ours are revealed (1
John 4:17).
