STRENGHTENING THE POOR 9

NEVER SAY ‘I CAN’T OR I DON’T KNOW HOW IT’S DONE’
Two boys shared a testimony of how they became rich after they won a contract to design a website for a bank and were retained by the bank afterwards. When the bank agent asked them if they could deliver the quality of website the bank needed, one of them wanted to say they can't but the other one tapped him and said to the agent they could. When the agent asked if they were absolutely sure, they affirmed and when the agent left, the one who had wanted to say ‘they can't’ asked his brother, why did you accept a contract we don’t know how to do, he responded, lets learn how to do it now. So they set to work, researching and invited everyone who has knowledge in complex codes, and they delivered the website to the bank, the bank was so impressed that they retained the two boys.
The first way of knowing how to do anything is to confess with your mouth, ‘I can’. Once you can declare that you can, you have triggered your ingenuity. This is the difference between the wealthy and the poor, one always declare ‘I can’ while the other ‘I can’t’. While you may have valid reasons to why you can’t, no reason is legit enough to making anything impossible to the one who believes in his ability to learn anything and master any required skills.
Nothing kills one’s potential than the word, ‘I can’t’. Even if you don’t know how its done, first accept you can do it and learn along the way.
To strengthen the hands of the poor, train him never to accept that anything is impossible and nothing would be impossible for him.
Let him accept responsibility and learn. He mustn’t know it all, but he must be willing to learn and consult those who know better and through that grow into solving that problem.
