THE NURSE WITH A SPOTTED WHITE

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Heb 9:14

An international health organization was recruiting some Nurses and Nurses all over the world were applying because the benefits are far better than working as a nurse in your nation. The rigors were strict as they make all the applicants pass through several tests and interviews. So many failed in their thousand and were disqualified till the number reduced. Now this body just needed one Nurse to complete the number of Nurse they want to recruit and the number that remain were still in thousands. In order to get the best they continued in series of examination and cross examinations till it remained only two ladies. They gave the two ladies another test and one of the ladies finally came out as the better of the two; she rejoiced, danced, phoned her husband and friends to share her joy and she felt so much over the moon until a spot was found on her Nurses’ uniform. While running around she had been stained by some dirt without her knowledge and whoever has a stain on her whites gets disqualified automatically the first condition for application states. When the stain was found, every test she had passed became in vain for she was disqualified, she cried and pleaded but it was in vain, she lost the job not because she wasn’t sound in her profession but because of an oversight of the stain on her garment.
Won’t similar thing happen on many sound believers? You may be very good in your church, good to people and generous but you still look down on the issue of lying, masturbation, anger, lusting etc. these supposed minor sins are a spots on your spiritual garment and no matter how good you are and how much you’ve done, you won’t be allowed into heaven for God only accepts spotless saints. Jesus was a lamb without spot (1Pet. 1:19) to enter the presence of God and we too must be same.
What’s that sin that easily beset you? Don’t manage it, don’t hide, open your mouth and pray and seek for mercy. Pray for the cleansing of your conscience and heart. Repent today for Jesus is coming very soon and may He not find us in that un-repented state in Jesus name. May He not come when we’ve not dealt with spot on our garments.

THE STRUGGLE FOR WHOM TO BELIEVE
