RESTING YOUR ENTIRE WEIGHT A man serving as a missionary in a strange land was trying to translate the bible in the language of those people, he found it difficult to translate the word ‘trust’ until one day, when a visitor came to see him at his office, when he showed him the seat, he quickly relaxed without checking if the seats was good or not. On seeing this, the missionary defined trust in God as ‘resting all your weight’ in God without thinking. When you don’t trust, you check and analyze and think and calculate before you commit but when you trust, you commit without thinking. Pr 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight Not until you’ve stopped checking and analyzing if God would truly respond to His word, you’ve not trusted. We must drop what we know or claim we know and trust (rest our entire weight) on what God says. Ps 37:5 Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will act. Commit your finance, marriage, he...
MMM and the Christian Zacheus was profiting in the systematic robbery of the masses by the government of his days and when he met with Christ, he had to refund in multiple folds those whom he has defrauded. The presence of Christ in one’s life should make such person flee from robbing people through any means. It recently appeared on news with pictures of several people weeping for their losses after investing in MMM; their losses were other peoples’ gain and profit. Those who joined MMM will are either the profiteers from those who would be robbed or the robbed. MMM is the system of thrift where you gain 30% of your financial investment when another person invests and whenever there is no new investor, the system definitely crashes with the last set of investors losing out entirely. Any service we engage in that at the final run results in the defrauding of another individual is robbery and a sin against God. Good investments should both provide gains for you and servi...
CORRECTING THE ERRORS There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler: Folly is set in great dignity, and the rich sit in low place. I have seen servants upon horses, and princes walking as servants upon the earth. Eccles. 10:5-7 The bible said that the devil is the prince of the powers of the air; he is the ruler until we become born again. That was why in Matthew 4 he claimed that he will give Jesus the glories of the world because he seems to be the ruler of it. The devil has caused so many errors which need to be corrected immediately we gave our lives to Christ. You mustn’t accept and continue to live in the error that proceeded from the devil. The preacher in our text says, folly is set in great dignity and the rich is sit in low place, yes, sinners are honored and look so blessed while believers are so dishonored and in shame. Servants are seen on horses and princes walking as servants upon the face ...
