STRENGHTENING THE POOR 4
Some monkeys would climb trees and catapult themselves over a five metre high electric fence from their primate research center in Japan only to be lured back with peanuts.
These monkeys are in confinement not because they want to be or they couldn't escape but because they are still slaves to their appetites.
The man who is enslaved to his appetite would never escape the circle of poverty.
People are poor because they are addicted to comfort, to food, to drink and to pleasure. To teach the poor man how to be rich, you must teach him how to fast, how to walk out of their comfort zones, how to resist their tastes for drinks and never allow the desire for pleasure overwhelm them
Whoever is a slave to comfort and food and drinks would never be rich even if he is rich, no sooner would he fall back to poverty and lack.
Wealth is the reward for only those who has walked out of their comfort zones and who knows how to resist the desire for foods and drinks
Teach the poor man that if he must become rich, he must begin to discipline his appetite for sleep, for food and for drinks.
Our comforts are the seeds to our harvests of wealth. Whoever isn’t ready to sacrifice his comfort would never become rich.
Let the poor man understand that he must desire to be wealthy and prosperous so much that he’ll be willing to forego certain comforts and deny himself the satisfaction of having every food and drinks he desires. The uncontrollable desire for food and comfort are the lures of poverty.
Whoever loves pleasure would never become rich and any rich man who loves pleasure is on his way down to poverty and lack. To escape poverty, first discipline your desire for food and comfort
