IS THIS THE MAN2

In our neighborhood as a kid, we move in packs. Any adult that was reported to our group as been wicked, we device a mean of getting back on such adult and this is one of the things we do. We find a tiny rope (we use tailor’s black sowing tread) and tie to a black waterproof (we call it walkin-talkin in Nigeria) that we’ve designed to look like a snake. Few of us sits with that adult we planned to punish while another stays in the bush or any hidden place around. So, the one in the bush pulls the rope and the waterproof like snake towards the adult, one of the kids points the snake-like object to the adult and shouts Snake! Snake!! The adult would run and we have our laugh later on. But one day, this adult was with a torch-light and we never knew, so when the one shouted snake, he pointed his torchlight...we are now rounded up and serving our punishment; thus ended that game in that neighborhood till we grew and went our ways.
When he switched on his torch light he found out exactly what he is up against, a fake powerless object posing like a snake. Christ is the true light that lighted the world; it’s when we switch on the Christ (look into the word of God for the true nature of the devil) then we would know exactly what we are up against (a defeated, powerless and dethroned man). The bible descriptions of things is the real description of such thing and there is no portion of the scripture that says the devil is powerful enough to torment the born again child of God. Infact in the last day when people shall see the devil for themselves Isaiah14:16  records the looks on their face when they  see him ‘They that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble, that did shake kingdoms’. They wont even call him the devil, or any special name describing one big and powerful entity but they shall call him with a puzzle look ‘man’. The puzzle look would be because the devil would be so small and powerless and harmless than they have believed or expected him to be. Don't wait till then to know how powerless the devil is. Col. 2:15 says he is harmless to you because Christ disarmed him and empowered you.

God bless you.
