LEARN TO GIVE A FORCEFUL ‘NO’
While I was been driven back some days
ago by the driver of a pastor colleague, he picked up a girl that was so
unwilling to follow him to his place and sleep over. We needed a direction to a
place that was why he called the girl. By the look of things, they are
acquaintance but not deeply. By the time we were supposed to be done with her
and let her go, this driver wouldn’t oblige her to alight. I saw in the girl
the unwillingness to follow this driver home as insisted by the driver but she
lacks the gut to vehemently say ‘NO’.
Like this girl, so many of us had
been made to do evil things we really don’t want to do but for the lack of the
gut to say NO and stand by it.
This world system forces us into
evil, to stand for Christ you must learn the act of saying NO and acting NO.
Joseph said NO to Potiphar’s wife but
it wasn’t enough because she wouldn’t accept just NO, but he acted on his No by
fleeing; yes, just don’t say NO, act NO when you are been enticed to do evil.
Christ said ‘but let your
communication be, yea, yea; nay, nay....’Matt. 5:37
Don just say NO to bribery,
immoralities, lies etc. but act on your NO.
Not until you forcefully say No (add
force to your No) you’ve not said it at all.
God bless you.
