GIVE TO BE COMMENDED
Do you know that God watches how we give for
the work of evangelization? Do you know He observes to know the sincerity in
our giving?
And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and
beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich
cast in much. And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites,
which make a farthing. And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto
them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all
they which have cast into the treasury. Mark 12:41-43
Christ sat over where He could have a good
view of the way people were casting their offerings; He saw what they have in
the pockets and what they chose to give to God from it. My friend, God is
observing our givings in relation to what we have in our pockets. He knows the
position we’ve placed Him on our priority list when it comes to giving; God
tend to be the last to receive from what He has giving us. Most of us give to
other things first and if there be any remaining by chance, we may then give to
God. God is not mocked, wherever we placed Him on our prioty list, that’s where
He will place us on His. Giving to God is the only way we prove we love God, whoever
can’t give to God in his lack is a fair-weather Christian.
The widow that got commended by God wasn’t
the lady that gave the highest amount, because God checks our pocket and our
giving to know how we gave. She gave her all, meaning that she placed God above
all her spending, she placed God over all her priorities and Christ stood up to
that giving and commended her. By making God receives her all, she wont lack,
because there is none that had ever given all to God that never received all
from God. If you are shrewd with giving to God, God will in turn be shrewd in
responding to your financial demands.
You may not have the highest money to donate,
but give so that the host of heaven will stand up and commend your giving.
Remember God commend you not by the side of your donation, but by what you gave
from what you have and no one has nothing.
God bless you.
We invite you to partner with our building
projects.
Is not the size you give that matters, its
how you’ve priotized God in your expenditures; the way you give to God is the
real test of how you love God.
