SHE WOULD RUN TO ESCAPE FROM THE RAIN
I
saw her running home; I didn’t need to ask her why she was in a hurry because
the weather tells me why, it was about to rain and the heaven is very heavy,
she wants to escape the rain that the heaven is clearly showing the sign that
its about to fall and she wouldn’t wait to greet me or discuss with anyone or
even buy what she went to get before the signs of rain appeared on the sky. She
would run so fast to escape the rain, and then I wondered, if most of us would
run in same way to escape eternal damnation and hell-fire.
More
clear than the signs of rain in the sky, the signs of rapture and hellfire and
eternal damnation is clearly about to come on us and if we will count it
necessary to run away from being beating by rain fall, shouldn’t we consider
even more expedient to flee from the judgment that’s to come?
Mt
3:7 ¶ But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism,
he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the
wrath to come?
Even
the Pharisees and Sadducees at the warning of John the Baptist fled from the
wrath to come on all those who haven’t seek salvation in Christ.
1Pe
4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the
sinner appear?
If
those who had given their lives to Christ and are seriously serving God in a
good church are scarely saved, what about you that haven’t given your life to
Christ and haven’t seriously belonged to a church where you’ll serve God in
truth and in spirit.
When
the rich man went to hell, he was hungered, thirsty and was in a serious
hellish fire experience that he was begging for a drop of water which cant be
made available to him (see Luke 16:23-26). Hell is not the place you can afford
to be, it wasn’t a place made for man but for the devil and all those who
refused to take flee to Christ Jesus by giving their lives to Him and become
seriously involved in a good church where they’ll serve God in truth and in
spirit.
Have
you fled from the wrath to come?
God
save us
