TITHE; THE LAW OF THE SPIRIT
Tithe
is not an offering but a debt, a debt that when we don’t pay, spiritual task
collectors called devourers which comes as sicknesses, diseases, problems etc.
will devour our wealth or our financial life would be barren, whatsoever we do
to gain wealth will prove abortive. You decide what you give in offerings but
you don’t decide what you give in tithes, it’s been determined already for you
by God.
Abraham
the father of faith was the richest man during his era, he was a strict tithe
payer (see Gen. 14:20; Heb. 7;6).
Jacob
that reaped an hundred fold harvest in a land plagued by famine and
unproductivity achieved this because he vowed unto the Lord and said ‘Of all
that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth (tithe) unto thee’ (Gen
28:22).
The
tithe is the law of the spirit because it was in existence before Moses was
given the law. And when we observe it, the earth shall yield to our efforts.
Who
do you pay tithe to:
Abraham
paid to the priest Melchizedek and obtained blessing from him, yes, you can pay
tithe to a man of God that you desire his blessings upon your life.
You
pay it to the church, yes, Malachi 3:10 says so that there would be food
(wealth) in the treasure of the church.
Christ
didn’t condemn tithing, He encourages it and said ‘... and not to leave the
tithe paying undone’ (Matt. 23:23 paraphrased).
If
you want God to respond to your financial request, tithe paying shouldn’t be
what you should leave undone.
Obey
the word of God and never forget to pay your tithe, its when your tithe gets to
a man of God or the church of God that though there be famine in the land, but
it wont come nigh you, though others are jobless, yet you’ll have job, that
though other’s business aren’t succeeding, yet, yours will that though others
are wasting their wealth on problems, yet you’ll be usefully using yours.
God
bless you.
