Lesson 13
SERMON
PRESENTATION 1
Everyone can
preach and God has called us all to preach (Mr 16:15 And he said unto them, Go
ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.). Preaching is
defined as echoing and reechoing a gospel truth, simply put; it’s the
proclamation of truth.
Mt 4:17 From
that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven
is at hand.
Jesus began
to preach ‘repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand’. Preaching is the
proclamation of a particular gospel truth; when you keep re-saying a gospel
truth you are preaching.
A good
sermon is followed up with signs and wonders (Mat. 10:8); salvation, healing
and deliverance.
Facts before
preaching:
The truth
you say matters: mat. 10: 7 And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
It so
matters what you preach when you preach that’s why Christ particularly told His
disciples what to preach and till now, God still gives us specific messages to
preach and the truth is, we can only preach our messages effectively if we know
what to preach.
The preacher
is made (they are called apostles): The making of a preacher is the
configuration of God’s truth in him which he’ll live and proclaim all the day
of his/her life and this may take several years and unique experience depending
on the truth God wants him to proclaim. This preacher, no matter what scripture
he opens, only sees and understands the message God wants him to preach all the
days of his life; that’s why every particular preacher is known for a
particular message.
To be a good
preacher, find your apostle and learn from him, you can only preach the
messages of your apostle with results and if you are called to be an apostle,
you grow through another apostle till you are fully prepared to have your own
message.
Signs and
wonders follows the preaching of God’s word and the reason signs and wonders
isn’t following the preaching of many Christian is because they are not
preaching the message of their apostles; don’t just preach, preach the messages
or your apostle.
To be a
effective preacher, first find your apostle (the man sent to minister God’s
word to you) and stay with him; invest in his life and ministry, stay with him
and serve under him (whoever rebels against his apostle can’t be a good
preacher)
To be an effective preacher, preach the messages
that saved you, healed you, delivered you and blesses you and you can only get
such messages from one commissioned to be the apostle of your soul. You can
only minister the sermon that ministered to you
